producers note
This is the moment where the story of Garbage Prince, a youth film strongly anchored in that day, begins. Life in a small town in eastern Finland sets the stage for this feelgood film that continues director Raimo O Niemi's style of films directed towards an international audience.
Shooting began in northern Karelia, in the city of Joensuu, at the end of March, 2010. The summer shoot started in the beginning of August and continued to mid-September, 2010. The Finninsh premiere will be in July, 2011. In Norway, the film will premiere in autumn 2011.
In Finland, the film is being distributed by Buena Vista International Finland and in Norway by SF Norge. The film is a Nordic co-production between Periferia Productions Oy from Finland and Flimmer Film A/S from Norway.
